Recycling

The Green Music Festival is committed to recycling as much waste as possible and limiting the amount of waste that is sent to landfill. To that end we have taken the following initiatives:

Participating in the Green Festival Challenge: The Chicago Green Music Festival has partnered with the John Hope College Prep “Green Team” to help festival attendees with all their recycling efforts. They will have just completed an intensive after-school environmental education program where they learned all about “Greening” a festival. The students will now apply that knowledge and compete against five other schools and festivals in the Chicago area to see who can recycle the most as a percentage of total discarded items.
