Bottled Water

The Green Music Festival is banning the sale of bottled water in plastic containers. As an alternative, the event has formed a partnership with Green Planet Bottling, a Chicago based business that promotes an environmentally friendly bottling solution. Their bottles are made from plant based materials (as opposed to petroleum), require 65% less energy to produce and are 100% recyclable. Green Planet Bottling is donating a significant amount of product to the Eckhart Park Advisory Council, who has been granted the exclusive right to sell water at the festival. Proceed from water sales will be used for park improvements, especially for turf remediation and new plant materials.

Beverage Operation

All beer and wine served at the festival will be dispensed in corn based cups which are 100% biodegradeable.
